Wow, That Hurt More Than I Thought It Would

wpid-bafana_bafana-2010-06-17-11-15.jpgSo, if you’re proudly South African like I am, you were most likely either in Loftus Versveld or sitting in front of a telly last night. I know that before the world cup started I had little hope for Bafana Bafana and was actually quite phlegmatic about the team. Now don’t get me wrong, I am really amped about the world cup. I was really looking forward to it. I believe no matter what, we win! We win exposure to our awesome and beautiful country, we win infrastructure and we win world class stadiums (though many people will deny that’s a win).

But then that first match against Mexico. Man! What a match, it was so good seeing our team play, and I think they played well, really well.

Then last night happened, and I can only say they were outplayed totally, and yes, the ref was (insert own expletive here), and the goalie really didn’t deserve that red card, or the free kick, but they were still outplayed.

What really surprised me was my reaction. I was angry and miserable and really felt emotional about the whole deal, I swore and shouted, and I’m not a swearer or a shouter, my girlfriend was even surprised! It’s amazing how quickly we can be swept up in the emotion of the moment. It’s all a bit of “crowd psychology”. What is frightening is how quickly we can be sucked in.

I am not giving up on them, my hope burns eternal (as futile as some say that is), they are up against the Frenchies next, go give them a hiding boys, we know you can!

Ciao for now!

Once Again!

mac miniDamn it all, you can not even conceive how many times I have done this, and by this I mean restarting blogs… it’s become a nasty habit. Though I am determined to see this through. I first thought I’d focus this website on my business, which is internet marketing, and SEO stuff, of which I’m actually pretty good, well I think so anyway, but then I realized I just want a place to sound off, say my thing. I don’t want to turn this site into something that needs to make me money, because I’ve got a suspicion I’ll loose interest in it eventually if it seems like too much work.

I will be posting reviews on stuff that I use, there’s quite a few products that I want to tell people about, mostly because I find it so darn useful and I think you will too.

Oh, and expect me to rant a bit, I like ranting, like I really need to get this off my chest, I thought that the pommie commentator for the SA Mexico match last Friday was a afro-pessimistic stuck up snob. I would have liked to catch a flight up to Joe’ies and given him a flatie on the ear like he deserved… jees, well there’s some pent up anger for you :)

And Apple, expect me to give some serious love to Apple, if you know me you know I’m a fanboy, a BIG one. So just because it just happened, those new Mac Mini’s rock, I had one once, sold it on to my brother who’s using it now, but heck, I’m tempted to get one again… soon.

I’ll also talk about internet marketing, it’s what I’ve been doing for the last year. I’ve learn’t a hell of a lot, and it’s been a fun journey. Like I said, I’ve got quite good at SEO,especially for local business listing, I’ll get a page on the first page of Google within days, and then keep it there. I love the internet, I love what I can do with it and I am a total information junkie.

One important thing I have learnt in my life is that I am not a salesman, sure I still do not know what I am, but importantly I know what I’m not and thats a good thing. Despite this I can use the internet to sell stuff, and I like that.

Ok, thats enough for now, post a comment, you have no idea how much I would appreciate it!

Ciao for now!
